Today it was 73 degrees outside. It’s about to be Thanksgiving. Does that bother anyone else? GLOBAL WARMING! Anyway, the past two weeks have been very busy for me. I’ve had so much homework to do for all of my classes, and I’m glad it’s only two days until break! I’m ready to relax. My busiest time of the semester came at a terrible time because, as you all should know, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows Part 1 came to theatres last week. Needless to say, I was distracted. By some miracle, I managed to not get behind and to stay on track with my work. I took my last regular test in Computer Science this morning, and I’m hoping it went well. When an English major tries to stray from books, the outcome can be disastrous. I’m hoping I defied the odds and made a decent grade. Dr. Thorne, I know your deepest desire is to give me bonus points on that test. I won’t complain, I promise.
Surprisingly, there is some homework that I’m excited about doing. In my Performance of Literature class we are preparing for our last performance, which is a group performance, and my group just happens to be doing one of my favorites—How the Grinch Stole Christmas. Yay! I get to play the role of Cindy Lou Who, and I’m really excited about it!
Aside from class work, I’ve not done much else because I’ve not really had time. This past weekend I went to Lizza’s basketball games, which are really fun. I actually get excited to go to them, which is weird because I’m not exactly a fan of sports. Maybe I will even start watching the UK games with my family? Who knows. After both of Lizza’s games, her parents took us out to eat, which we always look forward to. I love her parents so much! They’re the best. Thanks for always taking us to dinner, Lee and Jill!
Several of my friends and I went to the Harry Potter midnight premiere. We all made shirts to wear to the movie, and ended up buying Wal-Mart’s entire stock of gold glitter fabric paint. Also, my mom and brother came up to see it with me, which was so awesome! My brother, Kyle, and I even dressed up as Harry and Hermione. I love my nerdy family. I’m excited that I’ll be getting to spend a few days with them during break. I miss them all, especially my little brother Brandon. He and I have a movie date planned when I get back home, and I’m very excited to spend the day with him J.
It’s so strange that my first semester of college is almost over. I’ve registered for my classes for next semester, I’m about to take finals, and then it will be… Christmas?!? Where did you go November? I guess I was too busy counting down to Harry Potter to enjoy all 30 of your days. Oh, by the way, don’t forget to be reading Project Moon Shoes! November is almost over, which means our novel is wrapping up! It’s coming along so well, and I love our creation so much. I’ll be writing the last chapter. I hope you’ll all support us and read along!
Until next time, just remember “Hakuna Matata.”
XOXO, K
Kyle and I :)
